The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has extended the deadline for candidates with outstanding admission offers from the 2021 to 2025 admission exercises to November 30, 2026.
The Board said the extension followed the temporary unavailability of the Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS) for about 96 hours. It explained that the earlier deadline of September 30 was shifted to give affected candidates enough time to accept or reject their admission offers.
JAMB spokesman, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, said November 30 is the final deadline for candidates in the affected category.
He warned that candidates who fail to act before the deadline will lose the opportunity to accept or reject their outstanding offers within the current window.
Benjamin added that any later request to update admission records from previous admission years would attract the prescribed penalty fee.
JAMB said candidates whose admissions are not properly documented could face challenges, including problems with the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) mobilisation.
The Board advised all affected candidates to take immediate action instead of waiting until the last minute.
It also clarified that rejecting an old admission offer will not affect candidates who have already secured admission for the 2026 academic session.
JAMB said the extension is a final opportunity for affected candidates to update their admission records and ensure its database is accurate.
