African Democratic Congress Presidential Campaign Council (ADC-PCC) has urged Nigerian youths not to vote for President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.
The council said young Nigerians have suffered economic hardship under the APC government for almost 12 years.
ADC-PCC Media Director, Kola Ologbondiyan, made the appeal while meeting youth leaders in Kabba/Bunu Local Government Area of Kogi State.
He said millions of young people are battling unemployment, poverty and the rising cost of living.
According to him, many graduates now survive through petty trading, POS businesses and other small jobs because decent employment is scarce.
Ologbondiyan warned that giving Tinubu a second term would be a costly mistake for Nigerian youths.
He said the government’s announced reduction in petrol prices has not reflected at filling stations across the country.
“Check the filling stations in your neighbourhood, and you will discover that Nigerians are still paying above ₦1,400 per litre. What, then, is the reality behind this so-called discount?” he asked.
He urged young Nigerians to support leaders with practical plans to make life more affordable.
“Go to your various wards and take the message of affordable living to the people. Tell Nigerians that an alternative is available through our presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, and his running mate, Rotimi Amaechi,” he said.
Ologbondiyan also claimed Nigerians are still struggling with high transport costs and expensive business operations despite the government’s announcements.
The APC-led Federal Government has consistently defended its economic reforms, saying the policies are necessary to stabilise the economy and deliver long-term benefits for Nigerians.
