President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has joined millions of Nigerians and members of the Christian community to celebrate the Founder and Presiding Bishop of Living Faith Church Worldwide, Bishop David Olaniyi Oyedepo, as he clocks 72 years.

In a birthday message released on Saturday through his spokesman, Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu praised Bishop Oyedepo for dedicating decades of his life to faith, service, leadership and the development of people.

The President said the renowned cleric has played a major role in promoting values such as integrity, discipline, hard work, responsibility and excellence, which he described as important for building stronger individuals and communities.

Tinubu noted that Bishop Oyedepo’s influence has extended beyond the church through his contributions to education, leadership development, publishing and humanitarian efforts.

The President particularly highlighted the role of institutions founded by Bishop Oyedepo, including Covenant University and Landmark University, in providing opportunities for academic excellence, entrepreneurship, innovation and leadership training.

“Bishop Oyedepo’s influence extends beyond the pulpit into education, publishing, leadership development and humanitarian service, with the Living Faith Church maintaining a significant international presence across Africa and other parts of the world,” President Tinubu said.

For more than four decades, Bishop Oyedepo has remained one of Nigeria’s most recognised Christian leaders, with his teachings, books and ministry activities reaching audiences within Nigeria and across the world.
Through Living Faith Church Worldwide, also known as Winners’ Chapel, the cleric has built a global ministry network alongside educational institutions, healthcare initiatives and social development programmes aimed at improving lives.

President Tinubu also praised the social impact linked to Bishop Oyedepo’s ministry, including support for education, healthcare and assistance to people in need through various humanitarian initiatives.

“Bishop David Oyedepo has devoted decades to preaching faith, promoting integrity and encouraging excellence, while investing substantially in education and the development of human capacity. His commitment to building lives, institutions and communities has given his ministry a significant national and international footprint,” Tinubu said.

The President described Bishop Oyedepo’s birthday as an opportunity to recognise his contributions to faith, education and human development, while praying for continued strength and good health.

“On this auspicious occasion of his 72nd birthday, I celebrate his life of service and pray that Almighty God will continue to grant him wisdom, strength, good health and renewed grace as he advances the cause of faith, education, morality and human development.
“I wish Bishop Oyedepo many more years of fulfilment, good health and continued service to God and humanity,” President Tinubu said.
