Deputy coordinator of Arewa for Asiwaju (A4A) in Kano South, Hon. Abdullahi Mahmud Gaya, has declared that the Kano South Zone has a sacrosanct and non-negotiable political covenant with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Gaya said the people of Kano South would reciprocate the Federal Government’s interventions in infrastructure, irrigation, agriculture and other development projects by voting massively for Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress (APC) in 2027.

He said the interventions demonstrated the Federal Government’s commitment to food security, infrastructure renewal and human capital development in Kano South Senatorial District under the Renewed Hope Agenda.

Gaya made the declaration on Sunday during an interactive meeting with APC stakeholders from Gaya Local Government Area at his office.

He described Kano South as a strategic electoral zone in Kano State and the country at large, noting that its voting strength could play a significant role in determining electoral outcomes.

According to him, the numerical strength of the district would be instrumental in mobilising grassroots support for Tinubu’s re-election through Arewa for Asiwaju (A4A).

Gaya said Kano South comprises 16 local government areas and has approximately 2.4 million registered voters out of Kano State’s 6.57 million, representing about 35 per cent of the state’s total registered voters.

He said the figures underscored the district’s importance to Arewa for Asiwaju (A4A) seeking to mobilise support across district ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The A4A deputy coordinator further stated that the Federal Government, under Tinubu, had executed several strategic projects across the 16 local government areas of the district.

He said the projects, particularly those targeting infrastructure, agriculture and irrigation, were expected to contribute to economic activities and improve the livelihoods of residents across the zone.

Gaya urged APC stakeholders to strengthen grassroots mobilisation and sustain engagement with communities to consolidate the party’s support ahead of the elections.

At the end of the meeting, the stakeholders pledged to intensify mobilisation efforts in support of Tinubu’s re-election bid and work towards the APC’s victory at all levels in the 2027 general elections.
