NAF crash: Police boss condoles Chief of Air Staff, families of 25 victims

Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Olatunji Rilwan Disu has paid a condolence visit to the Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal S.K. Aneke, following the crash of the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) Flight 931 which claimed the lives of 25 people.

The Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Anietie Iniedu, disclosed this in a statement issued on Friday in Abuja.

He said the IGP visited the Air Chief to express the condolences of the Nigeria Police Force to the leadership, officers and men of the Nigerian Air Force over the tragic incident.

According to the statement, the police boss also sympathised with the families of the 25 victims who died in the crash.

Disu said the Nigeria Police Force stands in solidarity with the Nigerian Air Force during this difficult period.

He prayed for God to grant strength and comfort to the bereaved families and colleagues of the deceased.

The Inspector-General also paid tribute to the officers and personnel who lost their lives, describing their service and sacrifice to the nation as worthy of honour.

The NAF 931 aircraft crashed earlier this week, killing all 25 people on board and throwing the nation into mourning.

Since the tragedy, condolences have continued to pour in from government officials, security agencies and other Nigerians, who have described the victims as heroes who served the country with dedication.
